We welcome the Toffees to the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday 18 October, with the game scheduled for kick-off at 15:00 (UK).

Due to broadcasting restrictions, it will not be shown live in the UK.

Opposing manager - David Moyes

Few managers can say they have more experience than Pep Guardiola, but David Moyes is one of them.

The Everton boss has taken charge of 722 Premier League games since first taking the hotseat at Goodison Park in 2002.

He stayed for 11 years before a brief and unsuccessful spell at Manchester United as Alex Ferguson's successor.

Stints at Real Sociedad and Sunderland followed before back-to-back times in charge of West Ham spanning 2017 to 2024.

West Ham is where he won his first major honour, lifting the UEFA Conference League in 2022/23.

He returned to Everton in January of this year and is now overseeing the club's transition to life at their brand new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

He's incredibly well respected across the top-flight, having won the LMA Manager of the Year three times and the Premier League Manager of the Month award on 11 occasions.

Danger men

Everton's star man so far this season has been our very own Jack Grealish. The England international is on loan at the Toffees and therefore won't be able to play in this one.

Our visitors still have plenty of creative talent however, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Iliman Ndiaye working closely with Grealish up until now.

Ndiaye in particular is known for his fleet of foot and creativity in tight situations. He scored an exceptional goal at the Etihad last season too.

Pep Guardiola preview

The boss will speak to the media at 12:30 (UK) on Friday 17 October.

Previous meeting

Our 100th and final visit to Goodison Park in April saw a late show earn us all three points.

A battling display for much of the afternoon, we had to wait until the 84th minute for Nico O'Reilly's determined arrival at the backpost to open the scoring.

That was backed up in stoppage time by a powerful Mateo Kovacic finish.

It moved us into fourth spot in the Premier League as we eyed a 15th successive season in the Champions League.

Last time out

City come into this one off the back of an international window that we hope will not have disrupted our momentum though September and early October.

The Blues won five and drew twice in the period between international breaks, ending with a 1-0 win at Brentford.

Erling Haaland's early turn and finish at the Gtech was enough as we kept the Bees at arm's length for the rest of the afternoon.

That marked Pep Guardiola's 250th win in the Premier League, reaching the tally 55 games quicker than previous best Alex Ferguson.
