And the matchday programme will be paying tribute to this brilliant football man, with eight pages dedicated to honouring him for what he’s done for the Blues.

Mike Summerbee also speaks glowingly about his friend in his Buzzer column!

Meanwhile, Ruben Dias takes pride of place on the cover of this issue, as well as starring as the main interview.

Dias talks about playing in the Manchester derby, the importance of our supporters in the cauldron of the Etihad Stadium, his love of our great city and his delight at penning a new contract with the Blues.

There’s a wealth of other great content within the 84 pages.

We also welcome new signing Gianluigi Donnarumma as well as saying a fond farewell to Ilkay Gundogan, Ederson, Manuel Akanji and a legend off the field – Rose Woolrich after 50 years of service to her beloved football club.

There are the usual favourites like Pep Guardiola’s manager notes, our ‘In the City’ news spreads and ‘Backbeat’  - a famous photograph against our opposition from a celebrated victory at Maine Road in 1989!

Gary James also returns with a new column called ‘Five, 15, 50’ focusing on seasonal highlights from those specific years.

Matchday Live commentator Alistair Mann brings you his latest ‘Last Mann Standing’ column while there’s also the usual focus on what’s happening across our other teams - EDS, Under-18s and Women’s.

Make sure you get your hands on the official matchday programme, which costs £4, because it really is the perfect way to get you in the mood for the big game.

As well as being available for purchase at the ground, supporters who may not be able to attend the game can also order it online.

What’s more, fans will also be able to order a programme subscription, with three bundle opportunities available.
