Gianluigi Donnarumma is the cover star and main interview in our matchday programme against Napoli.
Donnarumma joined us in the closing stages of the summer transfer window and made a sterling debut against Manchester United on Sunday.
The 26-year-old won the Champions League with PSG last time out in Munich and, as we begin our 2025/26 adventure this Thursday, the goalkeeper looks back at his achievements in the competition as well as spelling out his dreams and aspirations in it this season with new club City.
We have a special feature on Kevin De Bruyne as he returns to the Etihad this week with new club Napoli after spending 10 glorious years in Manchester.
De Bruyne is also the focus for columns with legend Mike Summerbee and commentator Alistair Mann who wax lyrical on the midfield marvel.
We look at our Champions League journey, which began against Napoli in 2011 and chart all the ups and down in Europe’s elite competition, reliving in the process that glorious night in Istanbul from 2023.
Talking about that evening, we bring you a stunning shot of Ilkay Gundogan in the Ataturk Stadium, the German inviting City Studios to Turkey to conduct a final interview after joining Galatasaray this summer.
That’s one of three wonderful photo spreads captured within the 84 pages – we have our usual ‘Backbeat’ which looks back at a famous moment against this week’s opposition from Italy while there’s a picture special focusing in on our derby delight against United.
There’s a look at Erling Haaland’s incredible record across the 150 games he’s played in City blue, with a remarkable 129 goals one of those standout stats.
And we also have an explainer about the Champions League this season, a look at our opponents and a full fixture list.
There are the usual favourites like Pep Guardiola’s manager notes, our ‘In the City’ news spreads and Gary James brings us his column called ‘Five, 15, 50’ focusing on seasonal highlights from those specific years.
There’s also the usual focus on what’s happening across our other teams - EDS, Under-18s and Women’s.
Make sure you get your hands on the official matchday programme, which costs £5, because it really is the perfect way to get you in the mood for the big game.
As well as being available for purchase at the ground, supporters who may not be able to attend the game can also order it online.
It forms part of our full season subscription package at £165 while supporters can also reserve the matchday publication for our home clashes with Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Galatasaray by pre-ordering our Champions League bundle for £25.
Each edition will be sent individually on the date of the fixture in question but is not a pre-event delivery service due to quick turnaround production deadlines. Orders should be expected no longer than five working days after the game.
