The Footy Headlines portal has published new information and images that reveal a clear trend: Bayern is staying true to its traditional identity while adding an eye-catching, elegant highlight.

The jersey comes in rich FCB red, with slightly darker pinstripes running across the front. This look adds depth and is reminiscent of classic designs from the 90s and early 2000s. However, the gold accents on the collar and cuffs are really new – and explosive.

This would make it the first Bayern home shirt since 2011-2013 to use gold again. Back then, the crest, Adidas logo and Telekom lettering were also in gold. The 2026/27 version, on the other hand, relies on white logos – the gold elements remain purely decorative.

A bold step without breaking tradition

After the sometimes heavily criticized color experiments of recent years (white-red 23/24, dark red 24/25, bolder patterns 25/26), Adidas seems to be consciously relying on a secure foundation this time: the core of the jersey remains red – without any experimental excursions.

The golden touch, on the other hand, looks like a compromise between tradition and modernity – an elegant but not overdone accent that fits in well with the club’s brand image and conveys a sense of exclusivity.

Release planned for May 2026

According to the report, the jersey will be released in May 2026 – shortly before the last home game of the 2025/26 season. This is exactly when Bayern traditionally presents its new home jerseys.

Fans are likely to be relieved: instead of controversial experiments, the club is apparently opting for a classy, classic look that is both identity-forming and modern.

The big question now is how the jersey will look in combination with the shorts and socks – and whether Adidas will really strike a chord with the fans with the golden details.
