In a bid to address their shortcomings in both defence and attack, Trabzonspor plans to take action during the winter transfer window. The Turkish club is focusing on two players who have been closely monitored in France by their scouts, Eren Mert and Orhan Kaynak: Wesley Saïd and Jérémie Boga.
According to the media outlet Fotomaç, Trabzonspor's management is already preparing an official offer for the Ivorian international this winter. Despite a failed attempt last summer, as exclusively revealed by Africafoot, the 28-year-old winger remains a top target for coach Fatih Tekke. Tekke has reportedly insisted several times on his desire to bring the player to the team.
The versatility of the Ivorian international is said to be the profile sought by the Turkish club's recruitment team. This season, the former Chelsea player has registered 2 goals and 2 assists in his 19 appearances across all competitions.
Under contract with Nice until 2027, the Marseille-born player is currently valued at around 10 million euros. Jérémie Boga earns an estimated 2,780,000 euros per year.
