Clément Turpin to referee Paraguay v Australia for second 2026 World Cup match

Clément Turpin will take charge of Paraguay v Australia on Thursday, his second appointment of the 2026 World Cup.
According to L'Équipe, the French official has been named referee for the Group D fixture on matchday three.
Both teams have three points after two matches, making the Group D meeting decisive.
Turpin is at his third World Cup after 2018 and 2022, and Thursday’s game will be his seventh match in the tournament.
He previously officiated England v Croatia, which finished 4-2, earlier in the competition.
Nicolas Danos and Benjamin Pagès will run the lines, with Jamaica’s Oshane Nation appointed as fourth official.
