Crystal Palace picked up their fourth win in a row after beating Ipswich Town 1-0 at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League.

It was an evenly contested game and both sides created some fantastic scoring chances. In the end, Ismaila Sarr scored the only goal of the match in the 82nd minute to earn precious three points for the Eagles.

It was a brilliant goal from the Senegalese international who dribbled the ball in the penalty area and then chipped it over Alex Palmer.

Clinton Morrison was full of praise for the 27-year-old attacker, saying he has been “outstanding” in the past one month, and that it was a “fantastic” finish.

He said on Sky Sports: “Good play initially from Ismaila Sarr and Kamada. Phillips makes a tackle on Kamada and the ball runs to Sarr.

“Let me tell you, the pace he shows, the quick two yards, once he gets into that position, the finish was fantastic.

“This is not Ismaila Sarr of three-four months ago, this is Ismaila Sarr of last month. He has been outstanding.”

The game lacked quality at times but Palace were arguably the better side of the two and they created better opportunities.

In the first half, Adam Wharton produced an exquisite through pass for Eddie Nketiah but the striker could only shoot straight at Palmer. He should have buried that.

Dean Henderson made one brilliant save to deny Jaden Philogene, while Julio Enciso also made an attempt on goal.

Eberechi Eze came close to scoring for the Eagles, but the stylish midfielder could only hit the post after his deflected cross into the box had Palmer scrambling.

Liam Delap came close to scoring for the visitors, but Sarr cleared the ball off the Palace goal line.

Palace are building something special under Oliver Glasner. The Eagles have lost only once in their past 13 games, and they have climbed to 12th in the Premier League table.
