After one of their leanest windows in years, with no additions and several exits leaving a short squad, Club América are finally moving. César Merlo reports they have signed Colombian winger Óscar Perea as their first addition for Apertura 2026, which is already at matchday 3.
TUDN and Claro Sports had said the board had an offensive-profile reinforcement lined up to be announced on Monday, pointing to this player.
Perea is a right-footed left winger, aged 20, long regarded as one of Colombian football's brighter prospects.
He has already played for Atlético Nacional in Colombia, Racing Strasbourg in France and AVS in Portugal, though he has yet to fully establish himself.
The move is a one-year loan with an option to buy, intended to give him minutes. If all goes well, he could stay in Coapa.
