June opens with the 2026 World Cup kicking off and Club América returning to Coapa to start work for Apertura 2026. According to Americayya.net, the squad are due to report for pre-season this month.

This has been their longest break in years. They bowed out of the tournament on 10 May, began holidays on 12 May, and have up to one month of pre-season to ready for the second half of the year.

The downside, despite the time available, is the lack of transfer movement so far. Additions are expected around mid-June.

Players are scheduled to check in at Coapa on Monday eight June for medical and fitness tests, then start pre-season. Those on international duty, Israel Reyes, Sebastián Cáceres, Alejandro Zendejas and Brian Rodríguez, are exempt.

Details of friendlies and the training base have not yet been disclosed, though there will be several warm-ups. The Apertura is set to begin on 17 July.
