Liga MX giants Club America will look to book their place in the last four of Leagues Cup when they take on Colorado Rapids Saturday night.
America reached the last eight of the tournament after a 4-2 victory over St Louis CITY at Dignity Health Sports Park. The Eagles opened the scoring in the first half through Brian Rodriguez before St Louis turned the match around in the second half, but America would go on to score three times in the final 20 minutes of the match to secure the win.
On the other side of the matchup, Colorado took down a tough Toluca side 2-1 thanks to a 96th-minute strike from 19-year-old Darren Yapi. The Rapids have impressed for most of the 2024 MLS season under new head coach Chris Armas and that theme has continued thus far in Leagues Cup.
Here is 90min's preview of Club America vs the Rapids.

Although the Rapids have been impressive in MLS and Leagues Cup action this year, it will be tough to continue their positive run of form against the most stacked squad in North America.
America are one of the tournament favorites for a reason, and they'll progress to the last four of Leagues Cup with a comfortable victory over the Rapids thanks to goals from Brian Rodriguez and Henry Martin.
