Club Brugge have submitted an offer for FC Metz defender Sadibou Sané (21), according to a report from Foot Mercato.
The value of the Belgian outfit’s bid has not been revealed, however, the two clubs are now locked in talks regarding the centre-back. As a result, Sané is not expected to feature at all on Sunday when Metz, now under the management of Benoit Tavenot, face Olympique Lyonnais.
The Senegal youth international’s performances have caught the eye of Club Brugge, who have already shown themselves to be attentive to the French market this January, having concluded the signing of Félix Lemarechal from RC Strasbourg Alsace earlier this week.
Club Brugge are desperate to add defensive reinforcements ahead of deadline day and Sané has now emerged as the priority target. As well as his strong defensive performances in a struggling Grenats side, he is also a goal threat in the opposite box, as evidenced by his two goals in nine Ligue 1 games this season.
