kicker reports that Borussia Dortmund only see Ardon Jashari as an alternative to their main target in Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham.
Jashari is attracting major interest this summer after being named Jupiler Pro League Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season. Sky Germany reports that he could cost around €35m and has been linked with Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester City.
Dortmund will only pursue Jashari if they fail to land Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham. It has previously been reported that Jobe is Dortmund’s number one target.
However, things are not as smooth as first thought, as the prospect of being compared to his brother, former Dortmund player Jude, could put him off a move to the Westfalenstadion. Not only that, but fellow Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt are also pushing for the 19-year-old, who is said to have visited the club recently. Staying at the recently promoted Sunderland in the Premier League is also an option.
So, when it comes to Jashari, he will be around €10m more expensive compared to Jobe, but the Swiss youth international is more proven on the international stage, having played in the Champions League this season, as well as featuring in a top 10 European league.
