Red Bull Salzburg are closing in on a deal to sign Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic on loan, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Reds have been prepared to move on the midfielder this summer as he is not a major part of Arne Slot’s plans this season.
The 19-year-old has not featured for Liverpool at the start of the season and he is expected to leave before the window closes on Friday night.
It has been claimed that the teenage midfielder is set to move to Austria on loan in the coming days.
Salzburg are in advanced talks with Liverpool to sign the player on loan until the end of the season.
The talks are at the final stage and the two clubs are sorting out the deals of the loan agreement for Bajcetic.
Salzburg manager Pep Lijnders is a fan of the midfielder he coached when he was the assistant to Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
He has been pushing to sign Bajcetic on loan and the player is close to joining the Austrian giants.
