One Liverpool star could be leaving after just one year. That's if a major European club get their way.
Giovanni Leoni has had an incredibly unfortunate first year with Liverpool. The centre-back didn't even last one full match before seriously injuring his knee.
That injury cost him the rest of his season and we likely won't see Leoni again until part-way into the next campaign. If we see him in a Liverpool shirt again at all, that is.
Inter want to sign the wonderkid, much as they'd hoped to before Liverpool got involved last summer. L'Interista claim they're working on getting a deal together to try and pry the Italian away from Anfield and back towards his homeland.
But they're absolutely not interested in a straight loan deal. That would see them rehabilitate the player for Liverpool before sending him back - and there's not enough in it for Inter.
They're chasing a permanent move instead, perhaps with an initial loan. If Liverpool are willing, it would cut Leoni's time at the club dramatically short.
