Club World Cup win “has made Chelsea great again” says Sky Sports reporter | OneFootball

Chelsea’s Club World Cup victory over PSG on Sunday night has made Chelsea great again, says one Sky Sports reporter.

In what appears to be a comment made due to the fact Donald Trump was involved in Chelsea’s trophy lift celebrates, with his slogan ‘make America great again’ being a world famous one, this Sky reporter has paid a little homage to it!

It seems that the current President of the United States being involved in the trophy lift celebrates was very puzzling for the Chelsea players, with captain Reece James admitting that he had no idea why he was there or what he was doing in the lift!

Who said these comments?

It was Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol when analysing the Chelsea win.

In words cited on SPTC today, Kaveh said:

‘Like it or not – and a lot of people don’t – Chelsea can call themselves FIFA Club World Champions for the next four years. Are they the best team in the world? Probably not. Do they care what anyone else thinks? Definitely not.

Will it actually make Chelsea great again?

It’s certainly a good start, but it’s probably premature to be declaring that ‘Chelsea are back’ again just yet. Things can change quick in football and although Chelsea and Enzo Maresca have had an incredible end to the season, they did stutter for a good few months and had some terrible form after Christmas.

It can certainly kick start them into next season, and it does now feel different around Chelsea, like they are ready to challenge on all fronts again. But until they are actually challenging on all fronts, so the Premier League and the Champions League, I don’t think we can get completely carried away just yet. We soon will be able to though, hopefully…
