AC Milan are preparing themselves for the January mercato, and a report has emerged stating who has the keys to the car that is the January mercato.
This season, for the most part, has been uninspiring for Milan, and there is hope that it can be saved by the January mercato. However, whether this is a hope or something else remains to be seen. On too many occasions this season, the Rossoneri have struggled, and questions must be asked about whether the issues lie with the personnel or something else.
Unfortunately for the Diavolo, though, it may not be that simple. It could be argued that both have fed into each other, and the system is affected by a lack of options, and vice versa, the system allows few options to be used.
For this reason, it is vital that Milan get it right in January, and according to Calciomercato.com, the man tasked with this will be Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will ‘dictate the way’.
A ‘repair session’ is required, and it could bring some surprises. From the Swede’s interview before the Slovan Bratislava game, we already know that Ismael Bennacer is believed to be a new signing, but there are still two positions which need reinforcement: a Theo deputy, and another Youssouf Fofana.
Of course, opportunities that arise will be assessed, but the focus will be on two areas. In terms of profiles, Zlatan wants additions that combine ‘ductility and quality’, as these are two must-haves for the future and for the current rotation needs of the squad.
