Coimbra City Stadium pitch allegedly painted to hide poor state

The grass at Coimbra City Stadium, where the Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup was held, was reportedly painted before Saturday’s match between FC Porto and Torreense (1-0), as shown in images that have since emerged.

The condition of the pitch had already been criticized by FC Porto, both before and after the match. During the game, Dragons centre-back Jan Bednarek suffered an injury, leading the blue-and-white club to file a formal complaint with the FPF and consider seeking compensation.
