Colchester United among clubs keen on Blackpool striker

Colchester United are among the clubs keen on signing Blackpool striker Kouassi this summer.

The Bloomfield Bulletin reports that the League Two side are among several potential suitors for the 23-year-old, who has returned to Blackpool following his loan spell at Cambridge United last season.

But Blackpool are still weighing up his future and whether he will stay as part of boss Ian Evatt’s squad, or be allowed to depart.

He has just one year left on his contract and has spent the last two seasons away from Bloomfield Road out on loan, also spending the 2023/24 season at Salford City.

Kouassi’s season was cut short by injury at Cambridge but he is building up his fitness with the rest of his Blackpool team-mates while Evatt makes an assessment on whether he will be part of the squad moving forward.
