West Brom midfielder Cole Deeming is poised to sign a new contract, with another loan expected for the coming season.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, the 19-year-old, a highly regarded left-footer at The Hawthorns, is in advanced talks over an extension.
The Halesowen-born midfielder had two spells away last term, first at National League strugglers Truro City from November, then at League Two Cheltenham Town from January.
He made 17 appearances for the Robins, five of them starts. He has progressed through the age groups at Albion and captained the under-21s.
Deeming’s senior debut, his only first-team outing to date, came as a substitute in an EFL Cup defeat at Fleetwood in August 2024.
He is understood to have returned for pre-season in top condition and impressed staff with his physical performance. He featured under James Morrison until the penultimate friendly at Peterborough, when he instead shone for Leigh Downing’s under-21s with two goals in a win at hometown Halesowen Town.
Deeming agreed an extension last summer running to 2027, and Albion are now moving to secure him for the longer term.
