There was a late scare in the Bayern vs Chelsea game last night as Cole Palmer went down late on holding his groin.
We all know about his recent groin issues, having missed the last international break and some games for Chelsea as well with a groin injury. So when you see him grimacing, going down and then holding what appears to be that same groin injury, obviously you fear the worst.
Palmer had just done all he could to try and get something from Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Bayern last night, scoring a very good first Chelsea goal to bring them back into the game in the first half.
Palmer did all he could to try and get another goal for Chelsea and was pulling the strings in attack as he often does. He did get the ball in the net in the second half but the goal was correctly ruled out for offside.

After going down clutching his groin, fans will wonder whether Cole Palmer is OK.
Well, according to The Daily Mail’s Kieran Gill, who posted on X last night, Palmer has told Enzo Maresca after the game that he is fine.
Palmer might have felt fine last night but we know he has been having reoccurring issues with his groin so I guess we might have to wait and see how he is today as well and make sure there are no real problems with his groin once again.
Chelsea need Palmer badly still and are pretty reliant on him to make things happen.
