Coletivo Família Corinthians has filed an ethics and disciplinary complaint seeking the precautionary suspension of Adriano Monteiro Alves from Corinthians’ Conselho Deliberativo, submitting it to the Comissão de Ética e Disciplina.

According to Meu Timao, the case stems from a club-led probe. On 23 March the club lodged a police report at the 52nd Police District alleging structured fraud and attempted swindle by Adriano, who allegedly used his role on the CD’s Marketing Commission and his family link to then ex-president Duílio Monteiro Alves to lend institutional cover to an unauthorised private deal.

The filing alleges he leveraged his position as president of the Marketing Commission and that family connection to advance a 36-month exclusivity agreement between Corinthians and Plug Financeira to integrate a payments system in the Universo SCCP app. An upfront R$ 750,000 transfer was alleged to be required to Ervas da Amazônia Ltda., a company with no ties to the club.

The submission cites alleged breaches of Article 24, the duty to safeguard club assets, Article 42, to act with restraint and caution to avoid moral or material harm, and Article 43, which bars members from pursuing interests contrary to Corinthians.

The collective seeks five measures, including immediate suspension from the Marketing Commission and all CD duties pending inquiries, formal notification to present a defence within the statutory deadline, production of the police report and related records, and ultimately removal from office and expulsion from the membership. It also requests the immediate opening of disciplinary proceedings.

One request is already moot, as Adriano asked to step down from the CD’s Marketing Commission a few days after Duílio resigned his membership at the end of May. For the remaining points, the CE must open a disciplinary case, and by Friday afternoon Leonardo Pantaleão, CD vice-president and chair of the Ethics body, had not yet received the filing to decide on launching an investigation.
