Adi Hütter’s side are in the midst of preparations for the upcoming away match at 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday (15:30 CEST). Also present was Nnamdi Collins, who was able to complete parts of training following his injury. “I didn’t join in with the full programme yet, but I feel good and I’m pleased,” said the defender. “I hope to be able to help the team again soon. I’ve worked hard in rehab.”
Quartet absent from training
Four players were absent from the pitches at Deutsche Bank Park on Wednesday: Farès Chaibi and Malik Pimpong were forced to sit out the session due to illness, while Ansgar Knauff and Jessic Ngankam continued their recovery work.
Hütter put his team through their paces in an extensive session three days before the clash in Mainz on Matchday 3 of the Bundesliga. It was preceded by a video session in the ProfiCamp at Deutsche Bank Park.
The Eagles will have two more training sessions before heading to Mainz.
