The Copa América group stage met its conclusion Tuesday evening as Colombia held on to secure top spot in Group D, while Brazil finished second.
Here is what went down in Austin and Santa Clara.
Scorers: Raphinha 12âČ ; Muñoz 45+2âČ
Colombia secured the point they needed to finish top of Group D and set up a showdown with Panama.
While both sides struggled to put together slick attacking moves in the opening 15 minutes, the mood in the stadium turned sour when Vinicius Junior picked up an early yellow card that would see him miss Brazilâs quarter-final matchup.
But his wing-partner, Raphinha, showed why he can fill the shoes by stepping up to a long-range free-kick and sending it straight into the top-corner just minutes later to break the deadlock.
Colombia pushed to equalise however, and they were rewarded even after seeing a goal chalked off for a close offside call when Crystal Palace man Daniel Muñoz drew Los Cafeteros level.
Despite some big chances that went begging for both sides, it finished all level in Santa Clara, as Colombia held on to win the group.
Scorers: Calvo 2âČ,  AlcĂłcer 7âČ ; Sosa 55âČ
Costa Rica finished their tournament in fine form, downing Paraguay to wrap up third place in the group.
Costa Rica got off to a flying start as they looked to finish off their campaign on a high. JuĂĄrez man Francisco Calvo stunned Paragauy with the opener inside twi minutes, while Josimar AlcĂłcer followed up with their second just five minutes later to put Los Ticos in pole position to pick up their first win of the group stage.
Paraguay did manage to stop the bleed however, pulling one back early in the second-half through RamĂłn Sosa to cut the lead in half.
While Daniel Garneroâs side were unable to reclaim parity and pick up their first point of the tournament, any efforts were futile as both sidesâ fates were already sealed.
