Konrad Laimer and Raphaël Guerreiro are continuing to work intensively on their comeback and could soon be available to the record champions again. According to tz, the rehabilitation of both players is progressing according to plan.
Laimer was recently back on the training pitch after tearing a muscle fibre in his left calf. Together with Guerreiro, the Austrian completed an intensive 30-minute session under the supervision of rehabilitation coach Simon Martinello. Laimer made a very good impression, appearing lively and agile. The training plan included short and long sprints, passing drills and receiving the ball between several dummy figures. According to the report, the 27-year-old’s body language also indicated that he is on the right track.
Laimer continued his individual programme the following day. Although he has yet to return to team training, a comeback is getting closer. If the positive progress continues, he could soon be an option for match action again.
The next step has already been taken for Guerreiro. The Portuguese, who had to take a break recently due to a calf strain, has returned to team training. He is therefore a little ahead of Laimer and could be considered for the squad sooner. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to play against Hoffenheim, but it is not out of the question at the moment.
With the impending contract extension of Dayot Upamecano, FC Bayern have reached a key milestone in their squad planning. But Max Eberl and the sporting management barely have time to take a deep breath – the next personnel decision is already looming. Click here for the article
