Como coach Cesc Fabregas insists he “won’t talk about” links to the Inter Milan job but was full of praise for the Nerazzurri ahead of tomorrow night’s match at San Siro.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, via FCInter1908, the Spaniard was asked directly about reports suggesting Inter could consider him a future option on their bench.
Fabregas cut off the topic immediately. “I won’t talk about this, I’m not interested now. It hurts me to get this question because of the emotion. I am at Como, I’ll eat everything and everyone for Como,” he said.
Fabregas stressed that his only focus is preparing his team to deliver a fearless performance.
“We’re going there to win the match, to put in a great performance and keep growing, nothing more. I’m not the type who says: ‘This happened, now I’m weaker.’ I do the job I do.”

The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder then offered unprompted admiration for Inter’s quality.
“Inter have a great squad and a great coach, and great directors too. I go to San Siro a lot to watch Inter in the Champions League because they are the strongest team. There is no shame in saying this.”
Fabregas also referenced Simone Inzaghi’s former side as a model of tactical precision. “I admired Inzaghi’s Inter, they closed their eyes and everyone knew where they are. There’s no shame in saying that we analyse them, but we want to play the best match in the world. We want to play a great game.”
Como arrive at San Siro aiming to spring an upset, while Inter look to maintain their momentum in Serie A as the calendar tightens.
Como have not won at San Siro for 75 years against Inter and will be looking to put this record behind them.
Inter, meanwhile, face the second of three matches at their home ground in three days.
After the midweek win against Venezia, and tomorrow’s game against Como, Inter face Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday.
