Como are hopeful over Moise Kean after talks with Fiorentina, while plans for Milan midfielder Samuele Ricci are currently on hold.

“With regards to Kean, the two clubs are in contact, we have not finalised anything yet, but this is a strong player and we hope that he can join our squad,” Carlalberto Ludi told Sky Sport Italia.

Terms for Kean are said to involve a 10 million euro loan, an obligation to buy for 25 million, plus a further five million in add-ons. Performance-related details remain under discussion and there is understood to be no permission to travel yet.

Ludi spoke after the first Champions League draw in Como’s history, which set up meetings with Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Manchester United. The club have invested heavily this summer to back coach Cesc Fabregas.

An agreement for Ricci had also been reported, a loan for two million euros with an option to buy for 22 million, plus a one million bonus. “We admire Ricci, but as of today there is nothing concrete. If we were to go for a midfielder, it would be the very last move of the transfer market, but we’re not sure yet if we want to do that, so we’re stalling.”
