Como have an ambitious plan to remove all the clauses related to Nico Paz, doing away with the threat of him returning to Real Madrid sooner than they would like. Their coach Cesc Fabregas recently declared that they’d like to have him for years to come.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Lariani want to come to terms with Los Galacticos to deny them the chance to buy him back for a fixed sum in the next few years. The figure will amount to €9M in 2025, €10 in 2026, and €11M in 2027. They paid €6M to acquire him last summer.
Como are willing to invest €15/20M to reach their goal and control the future of Nico Paz without the looming presence of Real Madrid. The attacker has scored in four consecutive home matches, bringing his seasonal tally to five goals. Plus, he has logged four assists.
Per Marca (via Tribuna), Los Blancos aren’t keen on relinquishing their hold on the Argentine. They envision him being part of their squad down the line. However, they haven’t made the call for next season. They are surely keeping close tabs on his growth. Inter are very interested for the future.
It doesn’t hurt to try, as they surely don’t lack resources, but it wouldn’t be logical for the Spanish giants to agree to that. They aren’t cash-strapped either. Still, the talks might lead to an intermediate solution, allowing him to stay put for a couple more seasons until he’s fully ready to have a prominent role in a top side.
