Fresh concern surrounding the wellbeing of Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has been sparked in his home country of France this weekend.

This comes after both Didier Deschamps and Ibrahima Konaté spoke out on the situation of the 25-year-old.

Frontman Mbappé was of course omitted from the latest France national team squad for the November international break.

When questioned on the reasoning behind as much by the media, Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps was repeatedly evasive in his responses, despite admitting that the former PSG man made himself available for selection.

Those of a France and Real Madrid persuasion alike will, in turn, no doubt be interested to hear of an update on the situation on Saturday coming to the fore.

In quotes collected by Téléfoot, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, this afternoon, the aforementioned Deschamps and Konaté were asked for their respective takes on Mbappé’s wellbeing at present.

And neither response proved particularly reassuring, with the latter having assured:

“If Kylian has psychological or personal problems in his daily life, we will always be there to help him.”

Tactician Deschamps, meanwhile, provided a more in-depth reply, explaining:

“Mbappé finds himself in a complicated situation. This does not detract from all that he has achieved so far: we must remember everything that he has done very well.

“He has everything to do again what he has already done. His last two club managers (Luis Enrique and Ancelotti) had him play as a centre forward. He doesn’t have Giroud’s profile, it all depends on the team we’re playing against. It’s about positioning balance, but you always have to leave a lot of freedom.”
