Concacaf confirms key details for 2025/26 W Champions Cup | OneFootball

Miami, FL – Concacaf has confirmed key details about the 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup. The second edition of the Confederation’s premier competition for women’s clubs will feature 10 teams and two stages. The Group Stage will be played from August to October 2025, followed by the Finals in May of 2026, where the region’s new women’s club champion will be crowned.  In addition to being crowned as the best club in the region, the champion will secure a spot in the 2027 FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, an annual tournament played among the Confederations’ champions, and the quadrennial FIFA Women’s Club World Cup, which will play its first-ever edition in 2028. The 2025/26 W Champions Cup will kick off with a 10-club Group Stage. For this first stage, clubs will be split into two groups of five clubs each, with each club facing every club in their group once, for a total of four matches per club (two at home and two away) in the five scheduled weeks. Group Stage Week 1: August 19-21, 2025 Group Stage Week 2: September 2-4, 2025 Group Stage Week 3: September 16-18, 2025 Group Stage Week 4: September 30-October 2, 2025 Group Stage Week 5: October 14-16, 2025 At the conclusion of Group Stage play, the top two clubs from each group will progress to the Semifinals of a final four centralized event. Clubs qualify for the Concacaf W Champions Cup based on the qualification criteria proposed by each Member Association – that meet the Confederation’s eligibility criteria – and approved by the Concacaf Council.  For the 2025/26 edition, these six Member Associations and 10 clubs are, in alphabetical order by country:  Canada (1): Vancouver Rise Academy Costa Rica (1): LD Alajuelense El Salvador (1): TBC Mexico (3): CF Monterrey Femenil, CF Pachuca Femenil, and Club America Femenil  Panama (1): TBC United States (3): NJ/NY Gotham FC, Orlando Pride, and Washington Spirit 2024/25 CONCACAF W CHAMPIONS CUP FINALS

The inaugural edition of the W Champions Cup Finals are scheduled to take place from May 21-24, 2025, in Nuevo, Leon Mexico. Semifinal action is set for Wednesday, May 21, kicking off at 7:30 pm ET (5:30 pm local) with América Femenil taking on Gotham FC. Later that evening, at 10:30 pm ET (8:30 pm local), Tigres Femenil will face Thorns FC.  Tickets for the W Champions Cup Finals are now available via Concacaf.com/w-champions-cup/tickets The semifinal winners will advance to the Final, set for Saturday, May 24, at 10:00 pm ET (8:00 pm local time). Earlier that day, the losing semifinalists will compete in the Third-Place Match, kicking off at 7:00 pm ET (5:00 pm local time). In addition to being crowned champion, the winners will earn a spot in the 2026 FIFA Women’s Champions Cup and 2028 FIFA Women’s Club World Cup.
