MIAMI – The six Concacaf nations participating in the FIFA World Cup 2026 have learned their opponents.
Teams were drawn into 12 groups during Friday's draw in Washington, D.C. The event determined the group-stage matchups and subsequent ties for the expanded 48-team edition, which will be hosted in Canada, Mexico, and the United States of America.
The three co-hosts were assigned to positions A1 (Mexico), B1 (Canada), and D1 (USA), as previously announced during the match schedule release last year. Panama, Curaçao, and Haiti qualified by winning their respective groups in the Final Round of the Concacaf Qualifiers.
Here are the complete pairings for the group stage:
Group A: Mexico, South Africa, Korea Republic, UEFA Play-off D
Group B: Canada, UEFA Play-off A, Qatar, Switzerland
Group E: Germany, Curaçao, Côte d'Ivoire, Ecuador
Group F: Netherlands, Japan, UEFA Play-off B, Tunisia
Group H: Spain, Cabo Verde, Saudi Arabia, Uruguay
Group K: Portugal, FIFA Play-Off Pathway 1, Uzbekistan, Colombia
Two additional Concacaf nations can qualify as part of the FIFA Play-Off Tournament to be contested next March in Mexico. Jamaica (Pathway 1) and Suriname (Pathway 2) will seek to finish their qualification campaigns and advance to their potential paths, as determined by the draw.
The top two teams in each group, and the eight best third-place teams, will advance to the Round of 32. From the Round of 32 onwards, the tournament will be played in a knockout format.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 will take place from June 11 to July 19 in 16 host cities across Canada, the United States of America, and Mexico.
