Kylian Mbappé’s early days at Real Madrid have been somewhat rocky. Despite scoring eight goals and recording two assists in 16 appearances, the former Paris Saint-Germain star is still struggling to find consistency.

Mbappé’s first El Clásico was especially tough, with Real Madrid enduring a 4-0 loss to Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu on October 26. The challenges carried on into Tuesday when they suffered a 3-1 defeat to AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League.

These back-to-back home losses left Real Madrid with a combined 7-1 scoreline. Throughout both matches, PSG’s all-time top scorer, Mbappé, struggled to make a significant impact.

After two challenging losses, the Spanish side bounced back on Saturday with a 4-0 convincing win over CA Osasuna. Vinicius Junior recorded a hat-trick and Jude Bellingham chipped in with a goal. However, the Frenchman again struggled.

Even though the LaLiga team secured a victory this weekend, they did so with the 25-year-old playing a major part. StatMuse FC spotlighted on Twitter that Real Madrid put four past Osasuna, but Mbappé couldn’t find the net. He’s only managed to score once in his last seven games.

There’s already drama brewing behind the scenes, as Mundo Deportivo reported this week that Mbappé isn’t a fan of Carlo Ancelotti’s style of play.

The Spanish outlet notes that the player has mentioned to those close to him that he’s accustomed to having the team play around him, as it was with PSG. It will be interesting to see whether coming off a win, there’s still this type of reporting coming from the Spanish media.
