Confirmed: Barcelona register two new signings with La Liga ahead of season opener | OneFootball

One of the major issues plaguing FC Barcelona in recent transfer windows has been their inability to register players freely with La Liga after signing them.

The Blaugrana have had to rely on unusual measures and manoeuvreing in order to register their new signings in the competition.

But back to the 1:1 Fair Play rule this summer, the Blaugrana have been operating with greater freedom in the market, and have now been able to successfully register two of their new signings already.

Indeed, Barcelona have completed the registration of midfield superstar Rodri, who has arrived from Manchester City in a deal worth €76.5 million, including add-ons.

Along with the Spain captain, the La Liga champions have also registered forward Karim Adeyemi, who was signed from Borussia Dortmund in a transfer worth €22 million.

Importantly, the registrations occur just a couple of days before Barcelona kickstart the defence of their La Liga crown against Elche at Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero on Sunday night.

Anthony Gordon and Joao Cancelo have yet to be registered, but it is expected that the Catalans will take care of the matter before their opening match this weekend.

Along with the new signings, Barcelona will also have to register Andreas Christensen, who signed a new contract this summer after his previous deal with the club expired on June 30.
