Confirmed lineups: VfB Stuttgart vs. Viking FK | OneFootball

VfB Stuttgart begin their 2026/27 Champions League campaign on Wednesday evening as Norwegian champions Viking FK look to cause an upset in Swabia. 

Sebastian Hoeneß's side head into the clash on the back of an impressive 4-1 Bundesliga victory over 1. FC Köln, having bounced back from their heavy opening-day defeat to Bayern Munich.

Viking, meanwhile, are set to make their Champions League debut after securing qualification with a 5-3 aggregate victory over Dinamo Zagreb.

Hoeneß has made two changes from Friday's 4-1 win vs Köln, with Ermedin Demirovic and Jamie Leweling all coming in, while Josha Vagnoman and Dzenan Pejcinovic have dropped to the bench.

For Viking, striker Peter Christiansen keeps his place, despite new signing Erik Botheim arriving last week, while captain and key attacking threat Zlatko Tripic starts out on the left.
