Today’s match sees United looking to make it consecutive wins for a first time this season.

Newcastle United won all three matches against Nottingham Forest last season. Home and away in the league, plus the first step on the way to eventual Carabao Cup glory at Wembley.

Another win against them today will send United into the international break with plenty of momentum and rising confidence.

Pope, Trippier, Thiaw, Botman, Burn, Bruno, Joelinton, Tonali, Gordon, Woltemade, Elanga

An unchanged team, the same eleven that started against Union S-G

Subs:

Ramsdale, Schar, Lascelles, Barnes, Krafth, Osula, Willock, Miley, Jacob Murphy

A bit of a concern that Lewis Hall isn’t in the matchday squad. He came on as a sub against Union S-G but on Friday, Eddie Howe said that he is having to carefully manage the defender’s involvement, as Hall looks to get fully match fit and stay that way after surgery and recovery earlier this year.

Also, no Jacob Ramsey either, despite positive noises from Eddie Howe that he would hopefully be in the squad today.
