World champions Argentina headline Pot 1, alongside Euro 2024 winners Spain, England, France and Brazil. All three host nations, the USA, Mexico and Canada are also seeded for the draw.

The 2026 tournament will be the first to feature the expanded 48-team tournament. Representative teams will be placed into 12 four-team groups, with the top two of each group and the eight best third-placed teams progressing to a new round of 32.
