Confirmed team news: Nelson set for full debut against Grimsby | OneFootball

Reiss Nelson will make his full Brentford debut in the Carabao Cup round four tie against Grimsby Town at Blundell Park (7.45pm kick-off GMT).

The Arsenal loanee's first appearance came in the previous round against Aston Villa - coming off the bench and converting his penalty in the shoot-out - and he has been named in Keith Andrews’ starting XI to take on the League Two Mariners.

Nelson comes into the side as one of nine changes from Saturday night’s 3-2 victory against Liverpool in the Premier League at Gtech Community Stadium.

Sepp van den Berg and Dango Ouattara, who will play through the middle this evening, are the only two players to remain in the XI.

Hákon Valdimarsson starts in goal, with Ellery Balcombe named on a substitutes bench which also includes Romelle Donovan, who is yet to feature for the first team.

Benjamin Arthur, who impressed on his Bees bow against Villa last month, is rewarded with another start as the west Londoners seek to progress to the quarter-finals.
