🚨 Confirmed XI: Spain U21s must not slip up in Serravalle | OneFootball

Spain’s U21 national team faces San Marino this Thursday (20:15) at the Serravalle Stadium with the urgent need for a win to keep control of its destiny in the race for the European Championship in Serbia and Albania. After slipping to a 2-1 defeat against Finland — the current group leader with 22 points compared to the national side’s 21 — David Gordo’s team must beat the bottom side to remain in charge of its own fate on the final matchday against Romania.

Despite the overwhelming theoretical superiority against an opponent that has conceded 42 goals in eight matches, Gordo warned about the dangers of the clash. With Chema Andrés suspended and Rafita and Manu González coming in due to their teammates’ fitness issues, Spain will tweak its setup with Xavi Espart in midfield and an attacking doubt between Gonzalo García and Carlos Espí.
