Conmebol reveals prize totals for Libertadores and Sudamericana semi-finalists | OneFootball

Conmebol announced on Thursday the cumulative prize money due to this season's Libertadores and Sudamericana semi-finalists. Flamengo have earned the most in the Libertadores, while Boca Juniors lead the Sudamericana field when their Libertadores group-stage payout is included.

Brazilian representatives are Fluminense, Flamengo, Palmeiras, Atlético Mineiro and Vasco. It is the fourth time in history that three Brazilian clubs have reached the Libertadores semi-finals.

In the Libertadores, Flamengo have banked 9.61 million dollars, about R$49.88m. Palmeiras are on 9.27m, while Fluminense and Estudiantes de La Plata have each received 8.93m, around R$46.35m.

These sums cover round-by-round prizes and group-stage merit awards. In the Sudamericana, Vasco lead the semi-finalists on competition earnings with 3.87m dollars, roughly R$20.09m. Montevideo City Torque have 3.73m, about R$19.36m, and Atlético Mineiro 3.38m, around R$17.54m, while Boca Juniors add 2.6m from the Sudamericana plus 3.68m from their Libertadores group stage.

Prize money will rise again in the finals. In the Libertadores, the champion will receive 25 million dollars and the runner-up an additional 7 million for the final stages. In the Sudamericana, the champion will take 10 million and the runner-up 2.5 million dollars for reaching the final.
