Conor Kearns commits to the Reds

Shelbourne FC is delighted to announce that goalkeeper Conor Kearns has signed a new long-term contract, extending his tenure at Tolka Park beyond the current season.
Kearns, 26, has been the bedrock of the Reds defence since joining the club from Galway United in January 2023.
In his first season, he made 35 league appearances, contributing significantly to the team’s mean defensive record as the Reds finished fourth and secured a return to European football, after their highest League of Ireland finish since 2006.
Kearns contribution was recognised by being nominated for the 1895 Player of the Year Award and the Soccer Writers Ireland Goalkeeper of the Year award. He scooped the 1895 Player of the Year award, an accolade voted for by his teammates.
Last season he made a string of vital interventions in key games as Damien Duff’s men ended an 18-year wait for the top prize in Irish football.
Kearns individual exploits earned him the Soccer Writers Goalkeeper of the Year award and the . The Dubliner kept 16 clean sheets, joint-second best in the league, and conceded just 27 goals—the fewest in the division.
He played every minute of the season’s 36 matches, and has played 80 competitive games for the Reds.

It is his spiritual home and we want him and this group to be together for a long time”
