Leeds have moved on after learning RB Leipzig forward Conrad Harder will not be coming to Elland Road, and are now eyeing Wolves teenager Mateus Mane before Tuesday’s deadline. Daniel Farke wants a versatile left-sided attacker who can also operate off the striker.

According to Sky Sports, Harder is facing a loan to Strasbourg with a purchase option, and the clubs are still talking through details. The Dane cost £26m from Sporting Lisbon in 2025, and it appears Chelsea’s owners BlueCo have struck a deal to send him to France.

A move for Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk remains on the table. Chelsea have already rejected one approach and could do so again, while Leeds would prefer a permanent signing. Willy Gnonto could depart before the deadline, with Fiorentina said to be pushing for the Italy international.

Leeds have turned to Championship prospect Mateus Mane after Wolves’ relegation. The 18-year-old, Portugal-born England U21 international scored three Premier League goals in 2025-26.

Mane can play in midfield, as a 10, or out wide. It is believed the fee would be about £40m for the teenager.

Leeds may also sanction exits before the deadline. Fiorentina need reinforcements after a 3-0 home defeat by Frosinone.
