Conseil d'État upholds ban on PSG supporters travelling to Marseille | OneFootball

According to L'Équipe, the Conseil d'État has upheld the Interior Ministry order banning PSG supporters from travelling to Marseille for Sunday’s match, scheduled for 20:45.

The decision followed an emergency hearing requested by Collectif Ultras Paris. The magistrate said that, at this stage of proceedings, the contested measures did not appear to cause a manifestly disproportionate infringement of the fundamental freedoms cited.

Travel for Paris supporters to Marseille has been prohibited since 2015, with authorities repeatedly citing the risk of public order disturbances between the rival fanbases.

CUP lawyer Cyril Dubois called the outcome disappointing, arguing that while others manage similar events, France was failing, and lamented another season without Parisians in Marseille, adding that it had to stop at some point.

Earlier, PSG head coach Luis Enrique described the issue as complicated throughout his time at the club. He said sport should unite people and is used in education, and expressed hope that all football matches end in the best way, without any sign of violence.
