The first half of Napoli’s match against Genoa was controversial and action-packed, to say the least.
After a lengthy early VAR intervention, Genoa took the lead through a Malinovsky penalty, within the first three minutes of the match.
However, it did not take long for Napoli to turn things around.
Rasmus Hojlund pulled a goal back in the 20th minute, before a moment of madness.
Scott McTominay required treatment and asked Hojlund to hand him the ‘magic spray’ from the staff, so that the Scot would not have to leave the pitch.

After a quick spray, the former Manchester United man ended up scoring, before hobbling and signalling to the bench that he needs to come off.
At this point, an exasperated Antonio Conte turned to his bench and said “I’ll have to play in a minute!”
It is the latest in a number of serious injury blows for Conte’s side, that has left them struggling and relying on the very lower tiers of their squad depth.
