Antonio Conte could change his entire Napoli starting line-up for Thursday evening’s Coppa Italia clash against Serie B side Palermo, according to this morning’s updates.

The Partenopei required penalty kicks to defeat Modena in the Coppa Italia first round, but have since gone on to record an unbeaten record across their last four Serie A matches, with 10 points from a possible 12 gained over that period.

With a test against Monza coming up in Serie A on Sunday, Conte is expected to make wholesale changes to his side ahead of tonight’s cup tie.

Elia Caprile is set to replace the injured Alex Meret, while there could be a switch from a back three to a back four in order to rest some of Conte’s first-choice players.

Juan Jesus and Rafa Marin could come in at centre-back, while Pasquale Mazzocchi and either Leonardo Spinazzola or Mathias Olivera will start at full-back.

There could be a run-out for summer signing Billy Gilmour in midfield, while an all-changed attacking unit could see Cyril Ngonge and David Neres line up on the wings, with Giacomo Raspadori and Giovanni Simeone playing through the middle.

Kick-off is due at 20.00 BST.
