Lucas Beltrán, sidelined since late February with a knee issue, is in contention to start again at Valencia. According to Superdeporte, Carlos Corberán has opened the door for the forward to return to the starting XI or be used from the bench.
The Argentine missed the match against Villarreal after breaking down, then remained unavailable until recent outings. He has since collected minutes as a substitute against Oviedo and Sevilla.
The irritation in his patellar tendon had curtailed his involvement. Corberán now regards him as ready to increase his time on the pitch and continues to see him as a key piece.
The coach values Beltrán’s commitment and work without and with the ball. Having him available is considered welcome news for the squad.
On loan from Fiorentina, Beltrán will now compete to reclaim his place in the side, with selection resting on Corberán’s call.
