I don't think there's any aspect to it that has anything to do with complacency. It shows how difficult it is to play away from home; it's a statistic that's been the case for many years and many seasons. We're going in with that mentality; we need to have answers before the match even starts.

Luis Rioja's contract renewal

Rioja's performances couldn't be better. He's a crucial player, both in terms of his play and his mentality. In my opinion, he deserved this renewal because his level of dedication and commitment is enormous. Before I arrived at the club, he was playing as a full-back, but he can also play as a left or right winger. I've never seen a problem or heard an objection from him to doing whatever you ask of him to help the team. He has a tremendous willingness and a great capacity for adaptation. That speaks volumes about his commitment. The club's decision was the right one, because if someone has that kind of commitment, there was no need to wait.

Stepping up the performance

We're constantly stepping up. We don't want to be limited by whether we're playing away from home or at Mestalla. Our mentality shouldn't change. We go out onto the pitch to be at our best, because when we are, we demonstrate that we are a competitive team.

The demands of the match are not incompatible with the team's ability to compete. This game is affected by Rayo's aggressive style, with players pressing closely and not allowing you to make decisions.
