Valencia have taken a clear step in the survival fight, stringing wins against direct rivals. The Mestalla victory over Osasuna crowned a perfect run in these direct duels under Corberán.

According to Superdeporte, the sequence started on matchday 20 with a win at the Coliseum against Getafe, followed by victories over RCD Espanyol, Levante UD and Osasuna. It has delivered 12 points from 12 against non European sides.

Beyond results, Valencia have looked more robust, with intensity without the ball, greater defensive solidity and timely finishing. The group now appears fully attuned to the stakes in these fixtures.

Setbacks have come against stronger opposition, namely Real Madrid, Real Betis and Villarreal. The late push for a draw against Villarreal brought no reward, yet the team have kept focus on securing safety.
