Corinthians have ended their pursuit of Bahia forward Kayky, informing the parties involved in recent hours that they are no longer interested.

According to Globo.com, the club still want a player with Kayky’s profile but will not pursue talks with Bahia, not even for a loan.

Relations between the Parque São Jorge hierarchy and the Tricolor de Aço are strained due to the Kauê Furquim case last year.

The assessment also took into account Kayky’s output last season, spanning Sparta Rotterdam and Bahia, with 54 games, two goals and seven assists.

Corinthians will now seek a quick, dribbling winger to sharpen their attack. They have added four players so far this season, Gabriel Paulista, Matheus Pereira, Pedro Milans and Kaio César.
