Rafael Juwer has joined Italy’s Cavese on a permanent transfer, the Italian third-tier club announced on Thursday night. The 18-year-old goalkeeper has signed until 30 June 2029, the club said in a statement.

Corinthians are expected to keep 20% of the player’s economic rights with a view to any future sale. His Italian citizenship helped smooth the agreement.

He had been under contract with Corinthians until 1 March 2027. Juwer arrived at Parque São Jorge in 2022 for the Under-14s, moving up to the Under-17s two years later.

With limited opportunities, he played for Roma’s youth sides in 2024 and 2025. He returned to Corinthians at the start of July last year after the Italian club did not take up a 120,000 euros purchase option, worth about R$ 700,000.

Since the start of this season he had been on loan at Criciúma, featuring for their Under-20s and being named in senior squads in Série B. For Corinthians he made seven appearances, winning five and losing two. His last outing was on 14 September last year, a 3-1 win over Ferroviária in the Paulista Under-17.
