Corinthians academy midfielder joins Fortaleza until 2026

Corinthians has confirmed the departure of midfielder Ryan, 22, who has been announced by Fortaleza on a loan deal valid until December 2026, with a purchase option clause at the end of the contract. The midfielder has already joined his new club and started training with the squad at the Pici Training Center, awaiting regularization to be available to the coaching staff.

The negotiation is part of the same agreement that resulted in the arrival of midfielder Matheus Pereira to Corinthians. The player was announced by the São Paulo club last Friday, in a similar operation, with a loan contract until the end of the season and the possibility of permanent acquisition. For the deal, Corinthians assumed the payment of R$ 1.8 million, in ten installments, with a discount forecast if the purchase is finalized.

Ryan was integrated into the professional squad of Corinthians after winning the 2024 São Paulo Junior Football Cup, the year he also reached the age limit to continue playing in the youth categories. Since then, he has accumulated 59 matches for the main team, 22 as a starter, in addition to one goal scored and two assists. Despite his sequence in the professional team, the midfielder had most of his opportunities in alternative formations or coming on during matches.

At Fortaleza, the player will have an extensive calendar throughout 2026. The Ceará team will compete in the Campeonato Cearense, the Copa do Nordeste, the Copa do Brasil, and the Série B of the Brazilian Championship. The squad currently has options like Ronald, Zé Welison, Lucas Sasha, Rodrigo Santos, and Pierre for the position, but the club is undergoing a restructuring process after relegation and may make adjustments to the group throughout the season.

With Ryan's departure, Corinthians now has four players loaned out. Right-back Léo Mana is playing for Criciúma until July 31, while left-back Diego Palacios will play for Universidad Católica after returning from Karpaty Almaty, Ukraine. Additionally, defender Félix Torres was recently announced by Internacional, with a contract valid until the end of the year.
