Corinthians academy striker in Turkey earns Physical Education degree

The forward Felipe Augusto, who was developed in the Corinthians youth system and is currently playing in Turkish football, is experiencing a good phase both on and off the field. Last Thursday (11th), the young player had his thesis approved and completed his Physical Education course. This achievement marks a significant milestone in his personal life, highlighting his commitment to his academic career while being a professional football player.

Playing for Trabzonspor in Turkey, Felipe Augusto has scored six goals in 14 matches in the Turkish league during the 2025/2026 season, making him the second top scorer of his team in the national tournament. The team he represents is in second place in the competition with 34 points, just two behind Galatasaray and one ahead of Fenerbahçe.

Felipe Augusto joined Trabzonspor at the start of the current European season after an outstanding performance for Cercle Brugge in Belgium, where he played for two years after leaving Corinthians in December 2023. At the time, the Alvinegro sold the athlete for three million euros (R$ 16 million), retaining 20% of any future profit from a resale. In Belgian football, he scored eight goals and provided six assists.

Developed in the Corinthians youth categories, Felipe Augusto debuted in the main team in the first half of 2021, against Novorizontino, in the last round of the group stage of the Paulista Championship. At that time, the team was led by Vagner Mancini.

Later, he returned to the youth categories and established himself in the professional team in 2023, receiving more opportunities under Vanderlei Luxemburgo, who was in charge of the team between May and September of that year. In total, he scored two goals in 29 matches wearing the Corinthians jersey.

His main title in the Corinthians youth was the Paulista U-17 Championship in 2021, against Palmeiras, at Allianz Parque, in a penalty shootout. For the Corinthians U-17 and U-20 teams, he scored 33 goals in 80 matches.
